Mrs. Ivy Manly-Spain is an international business executive and a visionary with a passion for excellence and success.
She is an astute and highly experienced player in the Petroleum industry, having successfully initiated and managing three companies in the Petroleum Industry namely Hills Oil Marketing, C.E.O Oil & Gas limited and Globex Energy Limited.
Her drive to rigorously participate in the Petroleum industry was borne out of her determination to help put an end to the long queues of frustrated LPG users that she used to see at retail gas outlets around urban Ghana. Her aim was to ensure that the ‘No gas signs’ at gas retail outlets becomes a thing of the past. This she has done with distinction. Her vision of contributing her quota to ensure that LPG is available in every part of Ghana has been realized and is one of her greatest accomplishments.
Having identified the challenges for the perennial shortages, she went ahead and procured 30 brand new MAN diesel trucks built to suit the local environment and Ghana Gas specifications, because it is her belief that LPG should be delivered in a very safe and secure manner and also to ensure that Gas retail outlets are supplied regularly, consistently and promptly. This has been the hallmark of the Company which has attracted a lot of dealers to the Brand.
Currently, ‘Hills Oil’ brand is the number one (1) LPG marketing company in Ghana and employs about 250 people directly and indirectly. It is no wonder her company Hills Oil Marketing was awarded the LPG Marketing Company of the year for 2015 and 2016 at the Ghana Oil and Gas Awards.
Hills Oil Marketing is also involved in haulage of gasoline and gasoil for Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation. (A strategic petroleum products reserve Organisation in Ghana). She has also invested in Condensate Trailers and the Trucks are lifting Condensate from Ghana Gas to Tema Oil Refinery for blending into gasoline. Her Company, Globex Energy is also a licensed Bulk Distribution Company that imports petroleum products (gasoline and gasoil.) for the Ghana Market.
Mrs. Manly Spain’s commitment to the Oil and Gas industry is very comprehensive and she has a clear vision of going further into the upstream Petroleum industry.
Indeed, she is a proud example of the Ghanaian local content success story. She was awarded the Woman of Excellence in the Oil and Gas Industry at the 2015 Ghana Oil and Gas Awards. She also received the ‘Exemplary Entrepreneurship Award at Ghana Oil and Gas Awards 2016.
